[VIDEO] How to Install the CS50/CS55/CS60/CS70/CS351/CS361

The following procedure details how to install your CS50/CS55/CS60/CS70/CS351/CS361 using either  t he handset jack on the phone (with an HL10 lifter or EHS cable) or the  dedicated headset jack on your phone .
To install using handset jack (with HL10 handset lifter or EHS Cable):
  1. Plug the AC power supply into the phone's AC power/voltage jack, and then into a power outlet. Note: Charge the handset for 3 hours until the orange charge LED light turns solid.
  2. Unplug the handset cord from the base of the phone.
  3. Plug the pre-installed cord that comes with the CS base into the handset jack of your phone. Note: Ensure you plug the pre-installed cord into the jack of the phone from which the handset cord was unplugged.  
  4. Plug the handset cord into the handset jack on the front of the phone's base.
  5. Press the call control button and lift the handset off the cradle.
  6. Set the configuration dial to 1 to be able to hear the dial tone. Note: For most phones, the configuration is already set to 1. If not set, you can align number 1 with the notches on the side putting the number 1 at 3:00 when looking at a clock.
To install using a headset jack:
  1. Plug the AC power supply into the phone's AC power/voltage jack, and then into a power outlet. Note: Charge the handset for 3 hours until the orange charge LED light turns solid.
  2. Plug the pre-installed cord that comes with the CS base into the headset jack of the phone.
  3. Press the call control button, and then press the headset button on the phone.
  4. Set the configuration dial to 1 to be able to hear the dial tone. NOTE: For most phones, the configuration is already set to 1. If not set, you can align number 1 with the notches on the side putting the number 1 at 3:00 when looking at a clock.
