Plantronics Manager Pro 3.11.1: Changes to user identification - Citrix receiver environments only
With the release of Plantronics Manager Pro 3.11.1, we are making some changes that could impact how users running Citrix Receiver are identified and added to Plantronics Manager Pro. If you are using Plantronics Hub on systems running Citrix Receiver and you would like your Citrix VDI usernames to be used within the Plantronics Manager Pro application and reports, then you may need to make a modification to your configuration.
Who is NOT Impacted
If your thin client usernames exactly match VDI usernames in your environment then no changes are needed. For example, if the login to your thin client is “jsmith” and the login to VDI is “jsmith” then everything will continue as before and no configuration changes are required.
Who IS Impacted
If your thin client username does not match the VDI username and the VDI username is preferred, you will need to configure Plantronics Manager Pro to exclude the thin client username. For example, if the login to your thin client is “user” and the login to VDI is the actual, unique username such as “jsmith”, then you will need to configure Plantronics Manager Pro to exclude the account called “user”.
Versions of Plantronics Hub prior to 3.11 are not impacted. The change described below will need to be made if you are currently on version 3.11 or before you upgrade to 3.11.
In 3.11, the VDI username was used by default and was assumed to be the correct option. With the release of 3.11.1, we will no longer make this assumption and a configuration change is required to continue the 3.11 behavior.
To ensure the right username is selected you’re your environment, please follow the steps in the Required Modifications by July 9. Failure to do so will likely result in inaccurate usernames appearing in Plantronics Manager Pro.
- Navigate to: Plantronics Manager Pro > Admin > Plantronics Hub > Excluded Account
- Select Edit Details (upper right)
- Expand Exclude Account and Add Account
- Enter the thin client username and provide an option description
