Under the new program, the Polycom Certified Videoconferencing Engineer certification has been replaced by the Poly Infrastructure Professional certification. Existing holders of PCVE certification have been automatically enrolled into the new program at Poly Infrastructure Professional status.

The syllabus provides an opportunity to follow a progressive learning and certification path – from fundamental understanding at Specialist level, through to advanced technical skills at Expert level – and to acknowledge technical competency with an industry recognized certification from Poly.
The Poly Expert Program is open to everyone – end customers, Poly Partners, freelance consultants, students studying computer and communications technologies, and anyone who is interested in learning more about Poly solutions and the technology of Unified Communications.

Evolving the Polycom Certified Videoconferencing Engineer Program
Launched in 2012, the Polycom Certified Videoconferencing Engineer (PCVE) has been the main component of the Polycom Service Partner program for many years. Now that Polycom and Plantronics have come together to form one company, Poly, the Poly University team have restructured our learning and certification program to provide a more flexible, modular approach to skills development. The Poly Expert Program expands our portfolio of learning and certification to address a broader range of Poly communications solutions and technologies.
What happens to existing PCVE certification status?
When does PCVE go away?
The final date for the PCVE exam was set at 31st July 2020. Any person successfully completing the exam and holding a current valid PCVE status on that date is awarded the status of Poly Infrastructure Professional. From the 1st August 2020, only the new exams of the Poly Expert Program will be available.
My PCVE status will expire soon - what should I do?
Any current PCVE certification status holders have been automatically granted Poly Infrastructure Professional certification with the same expiry date as their PCVE. At the time of certification renewal, PCVE holders should recertify under the new program by taking the exams required by the Poly Infrastructure Professional certification.
I am new to the program - how do I become certified as a Poly Infrastructure Professional?
From 31st July 2020, only the exams of the Poly Expert Program will be available.
Before certifying at Poly Infrastructure Professional status, it is necessary to first certify as Poly Infrastructure Specialist.
