Computer Headset Troubleshooting: Unable to Answer MOC Calls

My headset no longer answers Microsoft Office Communicator calls and seems to be dead. Can it be fixed?
Cause: This issue can occur when the firmware revision in your DA45 is down level, the default audio device in Microsoft Office Communicator (MOC) is set to your internal speakers/sound card, and you perform one of the following:
  • In MOC R1: You terminate the call by pressing the Call Control button on the headset to switch the call from the computer speaker to the headset. The headset appears to be dead and no longer answers calls.
  • In MOC R2: The call is terminated when pressing the Call Control button on the headset to switch the call from the computer speaker to the headset. The headset no longer answers calls, but you do get a dial tone in the headset. If you press the call control button again, the dial tone stops and the call control no longer functions.
Solution: To correct the issue, unplug the headset from the USB port. Wait 3 seconds, and then plug in the headset again. This should restore the headset call control function. To avoid the issue from occurring, change the default audio device in MOC from your internal speakers to the headset (click the Tools menu, and then click Set up Audio and Video).
