Savi 8200 uc series FAQ's

The D400 is a DECT USB adapter used to provide the best wireless connection and acoustic sound quality to your new Savi 8200 UC headset.  DECT is a different wireless technology compared to the typical WiFi and Bluetooth found on most computers.

This adapter includes a DECT radio and behaves like a soundcard, once connected to your computer or laptop, works with all your apps that use audio.

Typically, your D400 USB adapter is subscribed (connected) to your headset. In the event your adapter is disconnected, or it was purchased separately. You will need to subscribe your headset to the adapter.

  • Insert the DECT USB adapter into your laptop or computer and wait for your computer to recognize it.

  • Put your headset in subscription mode
    • Savi 8210 and Savi 8220 – turn the Volume wheel up for 4 seconds. Your headset LED lights up.
    • Savi 8245 – hold Volume up for 4 seconds.  Your headset LED lights up

  • Subscription is successful when you hear "pairing successful" and "base connected" and the DECT USB adapter LED is solid green.

  • NOTE If the USB adapter LED goes solid red after flashing red and blue, the subscription attempt has failed and should be repeated.

  • Up to 3 additional headsets can join your call.

  • Your headset can also be used with a Savi 8200 Office Series Base – this is especially useful if working from an office location with desk phones.  With the Savi 8200 Office Series idle (not in a call), docking your headset automatically subscribes it to the base. If your headset is a different style to that of the Savi 8200 Office base then follow the manual over-the-air subscription process.
