From the earbuds raised buttons you can control call functions. Call control is being able to answer/ end calls, and interact with the Microsoft Teams app. From the earbud metallic touch sensor, you can adjust the volume/mute and toggle between ANC and transparency modes. The exact function can be configured using the Poly lens app.

Your Voyager Free 60 Series includes Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) which reduces external noise and enhances your music and sound quality. 

Allows you to hear your surroundings without having to remove an earbud.

Mute your earbuds by:

  • Swiping the metical touch sensor (customize in Poly Lens app)
  • Take off the earbuds and then put it back on to unmute

The earbuds will automatically power on when removed from the charge case. If you need to power them press and hold the raised button until you hear "power on"

Bluetooth is a technology used to connect devices wirelessly. Your new Voyager Free 60 Series is able to use this functionality to connect directly to a computer or through using your new BT700.

Your new BT700 and Voyager Free 60 Series work with Mac and PC configurations

Your new Voyager Free 60 Series works with many softphones. An example would be Microsoft Teams.

Your earbuds come with three different size ear tips try all three sizes to find which one fits you comfortably while blocking external noise. You may prefer a different size ear tip in each ear. 

 

For an optimal fit and sound experience place your earbud in your ear and rotate down and forward.

Ensure you have the correct earbuds in each ear. Earbuds are marked with either the letter L (for left) or R (for right)

REMOVE:

  • Fold down the eartip's outer cone to reveal the eartip connection to the earbud.
  • Loosen the notched eartip from the earbud with your fingernail and remove. Alternatively, twist the eartip to remove.

 

REPLACE:

  • Place the eartip on the earbud microphone column and press into place for a secure fit.
  • The eartip clicks when locked into place.

The following controls are available and functional depending on the application you’re running (some functions require enabling in the Poly Lens app): ANC/Transparency, Volume + & - , Microsoft Teams call button, Siri/Google assistant, Play/ pause, next track, previous track, mute/ unmute, power on/off, and Bluetooth pairing

How do I connect my Voyager Free 60 Series to the BT700 Bluetooth USB adapter?

Typically, your BT700 USB adapter is pre-paired (connected) to your earbuds. If it does not automatically connect when plugged in then it has somehow disconnected, or it was purchased separately. You will need to connect /pair the adapter to your earbuds. For this you will need to download the Poly Lens app at poly.com/lens

  • Insert the Bluetooth USB adapter into your laptop or computer and wait for your computer to recognize it.
  • Put your earbud in pair mode (press and hold the raised button until you hear “pairing”).
  • Put your Bluetooth USB adapter into pair mode by selecting "Pair" in Poly Lens. Your adapter flashes red and blue.
  • Pairing is successful when you hear "pairing successful" and "PC connected" and the Bluetooth USB adapter LED is solid.

Alternatively, if you have Lens downloaded on your computer you may also plug in your new BT700 device. The software will recognize your new device. Select the three dots in a circle at the bottom right side of the screen and choose “Pair new device.”

Your BT700 Bluetooth USB adapter will remember up to 2 devices but will only connect to one at a time. Make sure that your Voyager Free 60 Series device is the only one connected, if required turn off the second device. 

How do I connect (pair) my Voyager Free 60 Series to my mobile?

To connect (pair) your Voyager Free 60 Series put your earbuds in pair mode

Do the following:  press and hold the raised button on one earbud until you hear “pairing” 

Activate Bluetooth on your phone and set it to search for new devices.

  • iPhone Settings > Bluetooth > On*
  • Android: Settings > Bluetooth: On > Scan for devices*

NOTE *Menus may vary by device.

Select “Poly VFree60 Series.”

If prompted, enter four zeros (0000) for the passcode or accept the connection. Once successfully paired, you hear “pairing successful.”

NOTE Your earbuds can pair with up to 8 devices but only maintain 2 connections simultaneously.

How do I connect (pair) my Voyager Free 60 Series to my computer?

Recommendation:  For the optimum user experience that the BT700 Bluetooth USB adapter is used to connect wirelessly to the computer. The BT700 is identified by your computer as a soundcard and hence when it is connected it is available to all applications that use audio.  The BT700 provides additional features such as the ability to answer an incoming call (with supported softphones) direct from the Voyager Free 60 Series earbuds, battery level status is shown on the computer and more that are only available if the earbuds are connected with the BT700 USB adapter. 

Your earbuds can pair with up to 8 devices but only maintain 2 connections simultaneously. 

Why can’t I connect my Voyager Free 60 Series to my BT700 USB adapter?

Your BT700 Bluetooth USB adapter can remember up to 2 devices but can only connect to one at a time. Make sure that your Voyager Free 60 Series is the only one connected, if required turn off the second device.

How do I stop mobile notification tones from interrupting my computer audio?

If you have your Voyager Free 60 Series connected to your mobile device, then audio notification tones (email alerts, etc) will interrupt any audio you are streaming from your computer. To disable this, use the Poly Lens app.

Select the following: Settings > General > Notification Tones > Off

How do I disable the mute reminder notification tones?

If you start to speak while muted the earbuds will alert you via a notification note, to disable this, use the Poly Lens app.

Select the following: Settings > General > Mute Reminder Mode > require mode.

Why can nobody hear me and/or I cannot hear during a call on my computer?

It could be due to a conflict with the unit not being set as default within the PC, Softphone, or audio sources.

  • When placing a call make sure the BT700 is flashing blue. Steady blue LED means audio source is close. Press the call control button once.
  • Right-click volume > sounds > playback > is the BT700 set as default?
  • Right-click Volume > Sounds > Recording > is the BT700 set as default?
  • Check the audio device settings on your Softphone of choice and make sure speaker and microphone are set at default.
  • Disconnect & re-pair the earbuds and BT700. Then check if issue persists.

How do I configure my BT700 as an audio device on my computer?

To connect all your computers audio to the Voyager Free 60 Series, set the BT700 as the default audio device in your computer’s operating system. To configure your Bluetooth (BT) USB adapter: -

Windows

To configure your Bluetooth (BT700) USB adapter to play music, go to

Select the following:

Start menu > Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab. Poly BT700 > Default Device > OK.

How do I pause music when placing or receiving calls?

Start menu > Control Panel > Sound > Communications tab and select the Mute all other sounds

 

Mac

Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Sound.

On both the Input and Output tabs, Poly BT700.

How do I charge my Voyager Free 60 Series?

To charge you earbuds, place them in the included charge case. Charge the case by plugging it into a computer or USB charging device. Your charge case is also compatible with third-party Qi wireless chargers.

This issue could be due to a conflict with drivers, USB port malfunctioning, or corrupt settings.

Recommendation:

If possible, connect the earbuds to a different computer and validate the earbuds are working fine.

Check the following:

Disable all enhancements and check if issue persists.

  • Right-click on the Volume > Sounds > playback > headphones > properties > Enhancements > Disable all enhancements
  • Disconnect and re-pair both the earbuds and the BT700
  • Check if issue persists.

Run audio trouble shooter

 

Check if issue persists. It checks for common problems with volume settings, sound card or driver, and your speakers or headphones.

  • Select Windows +W and type troubleshooting > Troubleshooting > View All on the top left corner > Playing audio
  • Following the on-screen instructions to run the trouble shooter

The Voyager Free 60 Series includes smart sensors which allow you to automatically answer an incoming call when you put on or take off your earbuds. If you are streaming media, the sensors are also used to pause the media when you remove the earbuds. To disable this, use the Poly Lens app, go to

Select the following: Settings > Sensors & Presence > Wearing Sensor > Off

Your earbuds can pair with up to 8 devices but only maintain 2 connections simultaneously.  For best results ensure that only the two devices you want to use are connected to the earbuds.  On the other devices ensure that they are disconnected from the earbuds.

Listen to the voice alert when you remove the earbuds from the charge case or view the earbud and charge case battery status from your charge case. 

Firmware ensures optimum performance with the latest features and enhancements. Poly recommends that you keep your Voyager Free 60 Series earbuds, charge case and BT700 Bluetooth adapter updated with the latest firmware.  To update your firmware using your computer download the Poly Lens App at poly.com/lens.

If your device is provided by your employer, they likely have software updates covered. It’s always good to ask.

If you are the device owner, we recommend remaining updated by performing software updates when prompted. This will optimize your device and allow you to gain new features not previously available as well as resolve possible bugs.

Ensure that your softphone is a supported softphone and that only one softphone application is opened at a time.

If required to enable earbuds control (answer/end and mute) functionality, ensure you have Poly Lens desktop app installed.

Select the following:  

Poly Lens desktop app > your choice of softphone application > Softphones > Software Settings > Target Softphone

To restore the Voyager Free 60 Series back to the factory settings, use the Poly Lens app, go to

Select the following:

> Reset Device > Restore Defaults
