Alejandro Bustamante is a senior advisor to Poly CEO Dave Shull and the Poly Board of Directors. Bustamante previously held the role of Executive Vice President of Global Operations and President of Plamex at Poly where he led the company’s Operations and Supply Chain organizations across both commercial and retail sectors. During his two decade career with Poly, Bustamante led a global team that worked strategically to drive cost and efficiency while improving the flexibility of the value chain, enhancing fulfillment and customer support and investing in operational capabilities that add value for stakeholders.
Bustamante joined Poly in 1994 and has more than 25 years of executive experience in operations management. Before taking on his current role in 2012, he was President of Poly Mexico. Under his leadership, the organization achieved great efficiencies and became a worldwide benchmark for best practices, receiving awards in fields such as quality, labor, corporate social responsibility, logistics, technology, manufacturing, human resources, and environmental sustainability.
Prior to joining Poly, Bustamante held several key executive positions in operations management at Matrix Aeronautica, including Managing Director and Executive Vice President of Offshore Factories.
Bustamante graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from La Salle University in Mexico City and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
