Using the Computer Calling Kit with SoundStation 2EX or 2W Conference Phones

The Computer Calling Kit connects a SoundStation2EX or SoundStation2W to your computer's analog audio card via standard 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable. This allows your computer to combine the audio quality of the Soundstation's microphone and speakerphone with the convenience of using software applications such as Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, as well as other computer-based softphone clients to make calls or play audio.

To connect the Computer Calling Kit, verify that the SoundStation phone is in an idle state (not on a call), then use the following steps to connect the cable:
1. The single BLACK connector on the Computer Calling cable is plugged into the 2.5 mm input/output jack, which is located on the left side of the phone console.
2. The GREEN connector on the Computer Calling cable plugs into the Speaker/Headphone Out jack on your computer.
3. The RED connector on the Computer Calling cable plugs into the Microphone In jack on your computer.
4. For the SoundStation 2W model phone only: Once the SoundStation2W is connected to your computer, press the soft key on the phone that reads “IP MODE”.  The LCD should now have a main message that reads “IP MODE”.
