CS500 Series: How to Change the Configuration Setting

At the factory, CS510/CS520/CS40 systems are set to a configuration setting of "A," which works with most phones. If you do not hear a dial tone, or if you have other audio problems, try changing the configuration setting, as described below.
To change the configuration setting:
  1. Turn the base unit over.
  2. Slide the configuration switch (see below) until the position indicator is aligned with a number.
TIP: It is helpful if you can test the different configuration settings while on a call, so that you can select the position that provides the best sound quality for both you and your caller.
