Unable to share content on Group Series when connect MAC laptop on HDMI content port
Customer has reported that he was unable to share the content on GS 500 when MAC laptop is connected on HDMI content port, getting black screen no Pop up.
Group Series is not supporting HDCP Sharing content via HDMI/DVI output from Apple computers which are not supported as the content is being HDCP encrypted. The Display Port digital output from a MAC sends a HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) due to DRM (Digital Rights Management). Apparently, due to a policy established by Apple Inc., you cannot disable the HDCP encryption service on the DVI or HDMI outputs of a computer manufactured by Apple If there is an HDCP compliant device (i.e switcher or DA) between the Mac and the G700, the Mac will negotiate HDCP encryption with that device ALWAYS, even if it’s just Excel.
