Savi 700-M Series: No PC link or PC link slow to establish in a dense wireless DECT environment
A wireless link cannot be established, or the link is slow to establish, between the headset and base while attempting to connect to the PC or make a Lync call. However, the headset will connect to the desk phone. What is the issue?
The Microsoft Certified models of the Savi 7xx have the PC connection set to wideband and the phone connection set to narrowband by default. In a dense or marginally dense wireless DECT 6.0 environment the PC connection may not be established due to the additional bandwidth wideband requires (the indicator light for the PC button is yellow). Switching the PC connection to narrowband via the
Poly Lens app
will solve the problem provided a link between the headset and hard phone can be obtained.
