Our IDEA Statement

When we asked our employees what they wanted Poly to stand for when it came to Diversity and Inclusion they told us they wanted the focus to be on inclusion—what makes us the same—as well as celebrating difference and uniqueness. They asked us to help educate and bring awareness to global issues. Help them learn and grow as global citizens.  And our strategic IDEA ( inclusion, diversity, education and awareness) at Poly was born. Our focus is now will be on moving from conversation to action. Developing initiatives and programs that build a culture where all voices are heard, and opinions are shared. And then implementing and integrating these across the business. It’s not enough to say we want change; we have to drive action.

WOW Program

Positivity and gratitude make individuals feel acknowledged for who they are and what they do – motivating and empowering them to do the best work.

Our global employee recognition program we call WOW provides a consistent recognition experience for our whole population – from knowledge workers to our manufacturing employees. The great part of the tool is that it gives you a range of recognition levels. Our employees can start with a virtual ‘thank you’ or can give a points reward which the recipient can exchange for tangible gifts.

Every role at Poly requires unique effort, time, attention and expertise, so when a colleague really steps up to help achieve our shared success, that’s something to be appreciated. Employee recognition is one of the most important factors in workplace engagement and retention. With social recognition, employees can give peer-to-peer recognition awards to one another and make the workplace feel more inclusive. It can be as simple as a virtual ‘thank you’ or celebrating somebody’s years of service, no recognition is too small. Through WOW we are bringing back the power of ‘thank you’ to the workplace.

We’ve developed an IDEA curriculum and quarterly education program for all employees through our LinkedIn Learning platform. Modules include allyship, inclusive leadership, leading with empathy, and psychological safety. We want to educate and engage people, not simply by rolling out training, but by inspiring curiosity and driving awareness.


An important part of IDEA is to inspire and develop our leaders to be accountable. We’ve created an IDEA Council which is made up of over 30 leaders from around the company— including our CEO and executive leadership team—who provide advocacy for the program, helping to ensure it is at the heart of everything we do. The council will also come together twice a year for our IDEA Council Summit to discuss important actions and themes such as the impact of allyship at Poly.
