HDX - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

Vulnerability Summary

The Poly HDX telnet shell is vulnerable to a command shell authorization bypass. This vulnerability could be used by a malicious user to gain unauthorized access to the system and information disclosure. Poly made changes to the HDX software to address a race condition in the telnet authentication mechanism starting with the commercial software build 3.1.1.3 to prevent this vulnerability.
