Bluetooth Headsets: How to Pair to a Windows Computer

How do I pair a Poly headset with a Windows PC?
To pair your Bluetooth headset to a Windows computer:
  1. Make sure your computer's Bluetooth chip supports the Headset or Handsfree Bluetooth profile (if your computer has a data-only Bluetooth profile, you cannot pair your headset to it).
    1. Place your headset into pairing mode.
  2. On your computer, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click the Bluetooth Devices icon.
  4. Open Bluetooth Settings, and then click Add. The Add Bluetooth Device Wizard appears.
  5. Select "My device is set up and ready to be found," and then click Next. An icon appears for your headset when your computer finds it.
  6. Select your headset, and then click Next.
  7. If prompted for a passkey, enter "0000" (four zeros), and then click Next. Your headset appears in the Bluetooth Devices list.
  8. If necessary, right-click the headset icon, and then click Connect.
Tip: If your headset pairs successfully to your computer, but you do not hear any audio in the headset, turn the headset off and then back on again. Also, select the headset as the default audio device for Windows or the application with which you want to use the headset.
