Cisco CIPC Troubleshooting: Audio is routed to the PC soundcard even when headset is connected

When using the Cisco IP Communicator (CIPC) rev 8.6.1 without Spokes software, the call audio is routed to the PC sound card when I answer the incoming call from the CIPC interface. How can I fix this?


CIPC considers the sound card the default audio channel and routes the call audio to it even when the USB headset is connected when you answer the incoming call by clicking the CIPC toast.Try one of the following:
  • Answer all incoming calls exclusively by pressing the call control button on the headset
  • Install Spokes 2.7
