Rove Handset Taking Too Long to Upgrade / How to Check Upgrade Status

Issue: Firmware upgrade for a Rove 30 or 40 DECT handset has been initiated, but nothing seems to be happening or it's taking a long time compared to upgrading the base station. This is normal, as upgrading the handset takes significantly longer than the base station.
  1. Before starting the upgrade, ensure the Rove handset is placed in the charging station.
  2. Once the first stage of the handset upgrade is initiated (download of handset firmware), there will be no visual indication on the handset itself. This stage of the upgrade could take approximately 30 minutes.
  3. While the new handset firmware is being downloaded, you can check the status by logging into the web UI of the base station and navigating to DECT Wireless > Handset Summary > Handset Status. There you can see the FW Update status.
  4. When firmware download is complete and the handset is updating, the handset LED will flash rapidly between red and green.
  5. When the update is complete, the FW Update status in the base station web UI will be "Complete" and the FW Version field will indicate the new handset firmware version.
