CA40: Standard vs. Long Range


When the CA40 is in long range mode it produces a stronger radio signal than in standard mode. This stronger signal can induce interference in some host telephones, sometimes causing an annoying buzz. Any DECT based product will experience the same effects. Standard range operation eliminates this problem by using a much lower radio signal level. The CA40 is unique in that the user can choose standard or long range operating mode by using a simple 2-position switch on the underside of the CA40 base unit. The Ellipse does not provide the user with this choice, and the user is forced to make a choice from separate high power and low power sku’s
