Calling status indicator balls on an ISDN call

The indicator "ball(s)" displayed in the lower left hand corner of a Polycom video conferencing unit while a call is being established are an indication of the calls setup and negotiation status.  Depending on how the call is being established, ISDN vs. IP for example, will have a bearing the number of balls displayed.

Examples:
  • ISDN 1x64 = 1 Channel = 1 ball
  • ISDN 384K = 6 ISDN Channels = 6 balls
