Answer

Do not be alarmed if your phone does not prompt you for a passkey; many phones do not.  If your phone did not prompt you for a passkey at all, but successfully paired and connected to your headset, then it is very likely that your phone does not need a passkey in order to function with a headset. 

However, if your phone did not prompt you for a passkey and did not pair successfully, then it is possible that:
  • Your phone did not locate the headset.
  • Incorrect menu selections were made on your cellular phone.
In these cases, try the pairing process again in order to correct the issue.
